If you are using Ubuntu you can usually find Google Gadgets in your Application menu in the Internet section after it is installed. When you launch Google Gadgets your platform will appear on the right hand side of your desktop. Simply right clicking on the top bar of your Google platform will open a menu where you can add new gadgets or easily adjust the settings.
