Adding Files To DropBox


After installing DropBox on your machine a new DropBox folder will be created inside you home folder. All you have to do is move files into the DropBox folder using your file manager. You can also upload files directly to your account using the DropBox website. After that all files will be synchronized to all other computer with DropBox installed.

Share Folders With Friends Using DropBox


You can easily share new or existing folders with other people. First create a new folder inside the DropBox folder or move an existing folder there. Then right-click on the folder that you want to share and look for the new DropBox sub-menu, then click share this folder. Add the persons email that you wish to share the folder with, and an email will be sent to the user with details on how to retrieve the files.

Sync Your Pidgin Accounts Using DropBox


To sync your pidgin profile between multiple computers first you need DropBox and Pidgin installed on all computers. Then just move your main Pidgin profile folder into your DropBox folder. Now just create a symbolic link from the new folder in DropBox to your old profile location. Then on your other computers just delete your Pidgin profile folder and create another symbolic link from DropBox into your Pidgin installation directory. All done!
