The MDM display manager was introduced for the release of Linux Mint 13. Though MDM was forked from GDM, the list of features is far more extensive. This display manager supports different greeters, each with their own stylish set of themes. I wanted to show off some of these awesome themes, so here they are for your enjoyment.
MDM HTML Greeter Theme Examples
These are not your typical login window themes that we have all seen before. Some of these HTML themes are even animated. This is a unique feature that we will surely see more of in the future.
This is the BlackNBlue HTML greeter theme that features rotating gears, and a cool digital clock. The alien-looking Tux also looks devious, and ready for action.
Another very stylish look, with cool animated bolts of electricity sparking from the center. This is the CircuitBoard HTML greeter theme for anyone that would like to try it.
Next is the Mechanical greeter theme, found in Linux Mint 15. More gears and a muggy vista, but this theme also displays Zepplins and bombers flying overhead.
Atlantis is finally found, and right on your desktop. This is the UnderwaterCity theme, and a slick compass-clock is included in the bottom corner. Animated sub-marines proceed with their exploration efforts in the background.
