With Mozilla Firefox you can change your persona or your theme to give your browser a different look. There is also a large variety of themes which have been created by the community that you can download for free.

About Firefox Themes

Changing the theme has a greater effect than simply changing the persona, the persona changes only the background image at the top of the window, whereas changing the theme will also change the look of buttons as well as the background.

Window Maker Desktop Themes

If you are using Window Maker as your desktop environment you might want to play around with all the available themes to find one that you like. Window Maker has a good selection of themes, although they only differ in color.

theme Settings

If you want to adjust your window buttons or fonts you will have to look in the Window Maker preferences section. Inside the appearance tab of the main menu you can find a themes sub-menu will all the available themes listed. Simply select the theme you want from the list and it will become active.

Metacity Window Manager Introduction

For a long time Metacity was the default window manager for the Gnome desktop. For the release of Gnome 3 Metacity was replaced by Mutter. For everyone still using Metacity, this should cover the basics.

Metacity Functions

Metacity is used to display your windows, desktop themes, and provide keyboard shortcuts. Metacity offers all of the standard window manager functionality such as minimizing, maximizing, and moving windows.
